Success Story: Award Winning Theatre Play

Robert is one of the people we support in Edinburgh. He loves theatre and films, and in 2009, attended a course on drama skills at Telford College. Robert achieved an SVQ in Drama and in September the same year, he further broadened his knowledge by commencing a Listening and Performing course also at Telford College.

Having finished his studies Robert, got a part in the show "Huxley's Lab", a co-production of the Lung Ha Theatre Company and the Grid Iron Theatre Company, in association with the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh. The show ran from the 1st of April to the 8th of April 2010, in the Informatics Forum at Edinburgh University. The play was a great success and received excellent reviews. Its success was such, that it won the Critic's Award for Theatre in Scotland (C.A.T.S.) 2009/2010 for the best ensemble.

The C.A.T.S. Awards Ceremony was held on June 13th at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre. Robert attended the event, supported by Boatama (Yaa) Agyepong. 

This ceremony was one of the highlights in the Scottish theatre calendar, and celebrated the actors, directors, playwrights and other theatre artists who made the most thrilling contributions of the year 2009-2010.
