West Lothian/ Falkirk/ Dundee/Midlothian/ Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders

The Central and South Divisional Areas cover Edinburgh, the Lothians, Falkirk, Dundee and the Scottish Borders.

The services provided include Registered Care Homes, Day Care services, Supported Living or Care at Home.  All services are person centred, designed to provide the opportunity for independent living while offering care and support to ensure that the people who use our services enjoy happy, healthy, and full lives within the community.

Our high standard of care and support packages extends from between 24 hours per day, 7 days a week to just a few hours of support when required.

CHOICES  CARE also offers support to identify housing solutions through partnerships with housing associations. Each of these houses are either purpose built or adapted to suit the needs of the individuals living there.

The An-Carina day centre is situated in Polbeth, West Lothian, and provides day-care on a one to one basis for 14 service users who have Learning Disability, Autism  Spectrum Disorder and/or complex needs.  It uses a therapeutic approach to day care allowing the service users to express themselves through art, music and drama.

The Supported Living service in Dundee is unique in Scotland - providing specialist care and support for local people, some of whom have Prader Willi Syndrome.

The Registered Service in Hawick provides support to 6 individuals who have a Learning Disability. This service is located in a purpose built unit in a quiet picturesque part of town.

Our Care at Home services in the Scottish Borders stretch from Hawick and Kelso to Jedburgh and Duns. We work in partnership with the Scottish Borders Council to enable individuals to remain in their own home, while empowering them to make decisions about their support package.

In our Care at Home services we support mostly older people who have physical disabilities, frailty or mental ill health. Each service is completely tailor-made, and adapted to suit the needs of the people using these services.

Our staff team supports our service users according to their personal support plans.  These personal plans are reviewed and updated on a regular basis, with service users supported to make a significant contribution. Families, care managers and health professionals also contribute to these plans to ensure that the service users are receiving the highest quality of care focused on that individual.
