"Financial Controller"

CHOICES CARE has an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified chartered accountant with proven commercial experience, drive and a demonstrable ability to lead. Reporting to the Group FD the Financial Controller will play a key role in group management and statutory reporting, and in the timely and high quality reporting of them to the Board.

As the Financial Controller you will also lead the consolidation of both actual and budgets/forecasts and in strategic forecasting and planning exercises.

Key requirements for this position include:

ROLE

• Reporting directly to Group Finance Director
• Responsible for preparation of reliable Group financial reporting to Board and investors
• Providing Group Financial Director & Board with analysis of financial results & underlying business performance
• Ensuring proper financial controls maintained across the Group
• Assist Group Financial Director with improving speed and quality of reporting
• Assist Group Financial Director with acquisitions and ad hoc projects
• Develop and improve processes and procedures including implementing new financial systems
• Preparing monthly consolidation for Group

EXPERIENCE

• CA qualified
• Couple of years experience in industry role
• Good analytical skills - willingness to get under the numbers and understand the business
• Ability to identify and implement financial controls across the Group
• Experience of reporting within a small Group (couple of subsidiaries) desirable but not essential
• Good EXCEL and modelling skills
• Experience of SAGE 200 or similar system (beneficial)
