Role:

Responsible for the overall performance and leadership of CHOICES CARE, be it operational, financial, business development, quality assurance, training or administration.   I am supported by a team of 3 fellow directors and a number of managers who operate more locally to the services we provide throughout Scotland and the North East of England.  I have been with CHOICES CARE since May 2006 following a 15 year career in the long term care field, most recently with BUPA where I had been the Director of their care home business in the North of England and Scotland since 1996.  This role involved the operational and financial management of over 80 care homes with about 7000 beds and around 5000 full time staff.

 

Without doubt this is the most challenging and exciting job I have ever had.   It is especially so because I can see the positive outcomes that our professional and dedicated staff achieve for our service users, many of whom are living in their own homes for the first time in their lives, with our support.

Self:

I live in Glasgow and travel the 35 miles to our head office in Livingston on a daily basis when I am not out visiting our services.

Role:

Resposible for the financial well being of Choices in a very competitive market place.

Fiona Hamlton (Payroll Supervisor) , Douglas Morrison (Finance Manager) and Elayne Dodds (Ledgers Supervisor) report directly to the Finance Director.

Self:

Married – 3 grown up children.

to lead and direct CHOICES CARE development and growth strategy. Ensuring that all services are delivered via skilled and supported staff who are committed to improving the lives of the people who they serve.

I entered the nursing profession in 1988 and throughout my career have gained considerable experience in the design, delivery and continuous improvement of person centred services. I remain committed to working with service users and stakeholders and strive to ensure that CHOICES CARE places the needs, views and opinions of our service users at the heart of service delivery.

Self:

I am married to John and we live in sunny Lanarkshire with our children Paddy, 12, Monica, 5 and Amelia, 4.

Role:

CHOICES CARE is all about people looking after people. As Director of Operations my principle task is to ensure that we do so effectively and to a consistently high standard in the increasing number of locations in which we operate. I am most fortunate that the people delivering the care are both dedicated and empathetic in their approach, are highly trained and who are led by a team of managers with a wealth of relevant experience.

Self:

My own experience prior to joining CHOICES CARE includes both financial and operational multi site management in health and social care settings, most recently as Regional Manager with a major corporate provider of care for the elderly and, prior to this as Director of a Priory hospital.

Role:

Responsible for overseeing the administration function of the organisation, including maintenance and property related matters

Self:

Responsible for one small dog and a motorbike - love them both to bits.

Role:

Ann's expertise is in the management and delivery of high quality person focused services. She has a record and reputation for being able to interpret the needs of the individual, translating them into services that are person centred.

As an experienced senior Nurse Manager, her strategic team building and interpersonal skills enabled her to lead a large nursing team to success. Her commitment and empathetic approach allows her to ensure that CHOICES CARE has appropriate processes and training that support the delivery of high quality services.

Self:

Ann's main interests are her family, gardening, travel and cooking. She is married with a daughter and 2 stepsons.

Role:

To be responsible and accountable for the commercial delivery and implementation of the corporate strategy in regards to Contracts, Tenders and the Tendering process. At all times delivering a commercial, robust and accurate representation of Contracts and Tenders.

Self:

Married with a young family. Commercial Accountant for over 25 years.

Role:

Main role is day to day management of the finance team at Head Office, based in Livingston looking after all aspects of finance reporting directly to Stephen Paterson, Finance Director. The team is 10 strong, including Stephen and myself, all based at Head Office.

 

Self:

I have been working in the finance sector for over 20 years gaining vast experience in all aspects of finance including management buyout experience.

 

Role:

Responsible for day-to-day operational HR management support to Directors and Managers. The HR team develop and implement policies and procedures necessary for the efficient and effective running of the organisation. This includes recruitment management, performance review, welfare and benefits and, when necessary, discipline and grievance. The HR department work closely with all the other departments to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach to recruiting and managing people as CHOICES grows and develops.

Claire’s main interests are: swimming, dancing and playing piano. She is married with two young children.
